Thermal Technologies standard continuous high-temperature furnaces operate up to 1800°C. Higher temperature requirements are also encouraged which require process specific design. Assembly lines with high production rates with diverse core applications have influenced Thermal Technologies to develop various furnaces – sintering furnace for powder metallurgy, dewaxing and de-binding furnace for foundry and PM, brazing furnace for various metal joining material requirements, annealing furnace for automotive and machining post-process industries, hardening furnace, pre-carbonization and carbonization furnaces for carbon fibre production.

A multi-zone control environment is present in continuous high temperature furnaces, often with a single pre-heating zone, followed by multiple heating zones and then cooling zones before exit. Due to the high temperatures involved most of these furnaces operate under controlled and protective atmospheres, with inert gases such as nitrogen and argon used for initial purging, and gas mixtures or gases like cracked ammonia or hydrogen or endogas used to create a suitable atmosphere as per process parameters.

The heating chambers are either dense ceramic based construction or muffle based. Corrugated muffles (metallic) are used to withstand thermal expansion for certain processes. Metallic muffles may be of stainless steel or high nickel and chromium based alloys. Thermal Technologies offers mesh belt furnace, plate belt furnace, conveyor chain furnace, pusher furnace and roller hearth furnace for conveying the jobs or components.

Thermal Technologies continuous sintering furnaces are custom designed for your product and process, with our standard high temperature solutions up to temperatures of 1800°C. Electrically heated with a gas tight construction for operating in protective and combustible gas atmosphere like hydrogen with fully automated SCADA and PLC based control system. Finely regulated and ingress control of atmosphere inside, strategically located and optimally designed heating elements ensure excellent temperature uniformity and process parameters throughout the heating zones. Conveyor belts for lower temperature ranges and electro-mechanical pusher mechanisms employed along with walking beam for higher temperature ranges.
